 All India Sir Syed Essay Writing Competition, 2020


Eligibility: 

The competition is open to all the students who have completed their Higher Secondary board or   presently enrolled in any undergraduate level course in India. No co-authorship shall be allowed.

Topic: 

• How far the dream of Sir Syed has been fulfilled by AMU and its Alumni?

• Word Limit:                                                  1500- 2000 (excluding footnotes)

• File Format                                                   PDF File

• Alignment                                                     Justified and layout must be A4size  

• Plagiarism permissible:                                 Upto10% 

• The submission must be original.

• Each participant shall be allowed to submit only one submission.

• Mode of usage of language shall strictly be English.

  Prizes and Certificates:

Certificate of merit and prize will be awarded to the Winner, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up of the Essay competition.  E-certificate of Participation shall be given to all the participants who have successfully submitted their essay.

All decisions on the interpretation and implementation of these rules shall be taken by the organizing committee and will be binding on all the participants of this competition.

 CASE COMMENTARY COMPETITION Rules & Regulations Eligibility: • Students pursuing LL.B., i.e., 3-year or 5-year Law course from any recognized university/college are eligible for this competition. • No co-authorship shall be allowed.  Submission Guidelines: • Word limit – Minimum 1500 words & Maximum 2000 words (including footnotes) • Format – MS Word; font – Times New Roman • Font size – 12 for manuscript, 14 for Headings, 10 for footnotes • Page numbers – bottom center • The case comment must be written in English. • Line Spacing – 1.5 for text and 1.0 for footnotes • Alignment – Justified and layout must be A4 size • Margin – One inch each side • The citation methodology to be followed is Harvard Bluebook (19th Edition). • Any kind of plagiarism shall not be allowed.
